Beaches

Beautiful beaches, turquoise waters, hidden coves, natural caves,… From endless beaches of fine white sand to rocky and wild coves; the diversity and richness of the landscape and the seabed, especially the Posidonia oceanica, declared a World Heritage Site, are some of the main characteristics of the Ibizan coastline.

Cala Conta

On the west coast, the beach of Cala Conta is famous for its beautiful turquoise waters and incredible views of the sunset. There are various small, white, sandy beaches and the partially rocky coast makes it ideal for snorkelling. In the evenings crowds gather to enjoy the spectacular sunset which sets beyond the nearby islets. There are several good restaurants serving seafood and fresh fish and some beach bars, serving snacks and drinks. 

Las Salinas

In the south of Ibiza, Las Salinas with its long, sandy beach and incredibly clear and clean, shallow waters is the most popular beach on the island. It is part of the Ses Salines Natural Park and is protected by extensive dunes and lush areas of pines and junipers. It is also one of the favourite beaches of celebrities. Several beach clubs offer excellent food and play dance and balearic music which spills onto the beach and creates an amazing atmosphere.

Cala D’Hort

Located in the southwest of the island, the beach of Cala d’Hort has fantastic views of the mystical islet of Es Vedrá. It has fine sand at one end and is rockier at the other. Protected by cliffs, it is located in a stunning, natural environment, and is great for snorkelling. There are three excellent restaurants on the beach, all famous for the quality of their fresh fish and seafood paellas.

Cala Olivera

Located in an incredible setting at the foot of a pine forest, Cala Olivera is the closest cove to Roca Llisa. Its crystal clear water has a beautiful range of colours ranging from turquoise blue to emerald green. Due to the surrounding rocks it is nearly always protected from the waves and is an ideal place for snorkelling. There is an excellent beach bar to have a refreshing drink, ice cream or enjoy a wonderful meal. It offers a varied menu, specialising in paellas. 

Cala Llonga

Situated 5 minutes by car to the east of Roca Llisa, the bay of Cala Llonga is very popular with families. The beach is very spacious, with fine sand and shallow crystal clear waters surrounded by pine trees. There are many small cafes and restaurants offering varied menus. In summer there is also a small fair with bumper cars, trampolines and electric cars for the little ones.

Cala Nova

Located On the east of the island, the family-friendly beach of Cala Nova has clear and fine sand,  turquoise waters and is surrounded by pine trees. There are several restaurants with wonderful sea views and on windy days, there can be considerable waves. A great place to spend a day on the beach.
