History

Origin

The interesting history of Roca Llisa begins in the early 1970s, when the development company Urbanizadora Internacional, SA, discovered and promoted this exclusive and outstanding location on the island of Ibiza. Previously it had carried out important works on the infrastructure, subdivisions and further constructions, including the first nine-hole golf course, to date still the only one on the island. 

During the first years, the promoter dealt directly with the services of the urbanisation (surveillance, cleaning, conservation, etc.), but as more land and plots were sold, it realised that it was not qualified to maintain these services adequately and that the owners should be responsible for them. 

Challenges

From 1980, the owners were directly in charge of maintaining the services. This was not an easy task considering that the owners were all very different; some owned houses, others plots or undeveloped areas and last but not least, they were all from different countries and had different ideas, making it impossible to try to charge everyone for their share of the costs. 

A group of owners, led by D. Augusto Comas Turnes, organised a General Meeting of Owners held on August 18, 1981 and it was agreed to give the Community a legal character, which bound its members and obliged them to fulfil their obligations. 

Foundation

In the plenary session held by the City Council of Santa Eulalia del Río on July 29, 1983, the Statutes were approved with the legal-administrative classification of Collaborating Urban Entity in its class of Conservation Entity, and it was agreed to appoint a representative of that City Council in the Governing Council of the Community. 

The Community of Owners of Roca Llisa was registered as a Collaborating Urban Entity of the Town Hall of Santa Eulalia del Río allocated with the number 16 on November 11, 1983 in the Ministry of Public Works and Territorial Planning of the Balearic Islands.

Our Future

Our future is the commitment to increase the quality of the service we offer our owners.

In this aspect, both digitization and environmental care are paramount.

That is why, from the community of owners, we aim to reduce the environmental impact, make efficient and controlled use of resources such as water or electricity and equipping the Roca Llisa fleet with electric vehicles and increase the satisfaction of our owners.
